Kenya's Coast: From Your Home, or From the Airport
Two kinds of journeys make up most of our Kenya coastal transfers. The first starts at home, for guests heading straight to the coast without an airport in between. The second starts at the airport, for arriving guests who'd rather not spend their first hour on holiday in a taxi or shuttle. Either way, we fly you directly to your resort, or as close to its front door as the property allows, along the coast to destinations like Diani, Watamu, Malindi, Vipingo Ridge and Lamu. For journeys to the South Coast, that also means skipping the queue for the Likoni ferry, one of the most familiar hold-ups on this stretch of coast.

Zanzibar: Skipping the Island's Long Roads
Land at Zanzibar's airport and most guests are still the better part of an hour from bed. Kilindi, tucked into the island's northwest coast near Kendwa, is a good example of why: it's roughly an hour to an hour and a quarter by road, much of it on rural routes, before you reach what's meant to be one of the most private resorts on the island. We fly that same stretch in a fraction of the time, lifting off from the airport and tracking the coastline north over the lagoon, so the final leg of the journey is as memorable as the destination itself. The same holds for other resorts scattered along Zanzibar's quieter north and east coasts, anywhere the road in is longer than anyone would like it to be.

No Landing Pad? We'll Still Get You Close
Not every resort has its own helipad, and that's never a reason to rule one out. Where a property doesn't have a landing zone, we identify the nearest safe landing point and arrange a short onward transfer to finish the journey, so your choice of resort is never limited by what a helicopter can reach directly. It's the same principle behind every transfer we run: we handle the logistics, so all you notice is how short the trip felt.
Good to Know Before You Book
- Pack light and soft. Helicopter luggage is generally limited to soft-sided bags, around 15kg per person, with no wheeled hard cases, a duffel, not a suitcase.
- Weather calls the shots. These are visual flights, so cloud cover or storms can occasionally delay or reroute a transfer. The June-October dry season generally offers the clearest skies; short-notice changes are more common in the rainier months.
- Book ahead in peak season. December-March and July-August get busy, so it's worth locking in your slot early.
- If your trip spans both countries, sort your documents first. Crossing into Tanzania means a valid passport and any required visa or entry permit arranged before you travel.
