Kibale Forest
- High Season (Dry Season) Season: June - August and December - February → Clear skies, dry trails, and excellent wildlife viewing. Best time for gorilla trekking in Bwindi and chimpanzee trekking in Kibale. National parks are more accessible, and game drives are easier.
- Low Season Season: March – May and September – November → Heavy rains (especially March–May) make trekking trails muddy and challenging. Fewer tourists, so lodges often offer discounted rates. Lush green landscapes, excellent for photography and birdwatching. Wildlife is still visible, but access to some areas may be limited.
- Gorilla and chimpanzee permits are non-refundable once purchased.
- Gorilla trekking requires moderate fitness. To make your trek easier, a porter will be provided to carry your belongings throughout the trek
- Participants must be 15 years and above to trek mountain gorillas.
- Gorilla and chimpanzee permits should be booked early, as they sell out quickly.
